A Sonnet for Potential Employers

This job search is an epic quest
To set myself apart.
To show I’m choice above the rest
With words and wit and art.
I see you have a job to fill;
You’ll want me in your crew.
My personality and skill
Are great assets to you.
I’m both competent and clever,
Committed to my work,
And I always will endeavor
To add a bit of quirk.
Thank you, whom it may concern,
Yours sincerely, Hannon Fearn.

purveyor of preposterous prose & profound poetry

"The majesty and grandeur of the English language; it's the greatest possession we have. The noblest thoughts that ever flowed through the hearts of men are contained in its extraordinary, imaginative, and musical mixtures.”

-- Henry Higgins' speech to Eliza Doolittle,  "My Fair Lady"

ABOUT ME

As a regular blogger, I know what it takes to make a significant Internet impression. While subject matter is obviously important, what truly captures and maintains the audience’s attention is the manner in which you present the material. Personally, I am a fan of quirky alliteration, unexpected turns of phrase, the occasional ridiculous pun, and grandiose hyperbole for discussion of the mundane.

I simply love the English language. I think Henry Higgins' speech to Eliza Doolittle in "My Fair Lady" best articulates my feelings: "The majesty and grandeur of the English language; it's the greatest possession we have. The noblest thoughts that ever flowed through the hearts of men are contained in its extraordinary, imaginative, and musical mixtures.”

Any occupation that permits me to savor the sublime symphony of sounds and syllables of this sumptuous language, (you were warned about the alliteration) would be ideal. Receiving monetary compensation for doing something I love would simply be the icing on a cake I was permitted to have, as well as eat.
